1970 Dodge Coronet R/T Engine Options and Specifications
In 1970 the Dodge Coronet R/T could be ordered with three different high performance engine options.
For the 1970 Coronet R/T, the 440 High Performance 4 barrel engine was the standard engine. Two engine options were available including the 440 Six Pack and the 426 Hemi.

The 1970 Coronet R/T was available with the following three engines.
- 440 High Performance 4-barrel Magnum (Standard)
- 440 Six Pack (Optional)
- 426 Hemi (Optional)
1970 Coronet R/T With a 440 High Performance 4-barrel Magnum
The 440 High Performance 4-barrel was available as the standard engine for the 1970 Coronet R/T. The compression ratio decreased from 10.1:1 to 9.7:1 from the previous year.

The 426 Hemi was available as an option for the 1970 Coronet R/T. The camshaft was once again changed from the previous year using hydraulic tappets instead of mechanical. The lift and duration remained the same.
