The 440 4-barrel was available as the standard engine for the 1970 Sport Fury GT. This engine was the standard 440, with 350 horsepower, and not the high performance 440.

The compression ratio decreased from 10.1:1 to 9.7:1 from the previous year when this engine was available in other models.
