Dashboard Vin
The VIN is 13 digits and is found in a few places. The most common place is on a metal plate which is attached by rivets to the top of the instrument panel between the left (driver’s side) windshield washer pivot and the left A pillar. It can be easily the seen the best by looking through the windshield from the outside of the car.
The dash Vin plate is black and is attached with 2 rivets (rosette head). The 13 numbers and letters are raised during the embossing process. Directly under the digits is the Mopar Pentastar with the text “CHRYSLER CORPORATION” silk screened in white.
Driver’s Door Jamb
Located on the driver’s door, the door mylar data vin decal is printed on a black and silver sticker. It is tamper proof and will come apart if you try to remove it. The full vin number is located on the bottom of the sticker.
Fender Tag
A small metal tag, slightly rectangular in shape, with a bunch of embossed numbers and letters which is attached under the hood. It is typically found on the left side inner fender or the top of the radiator support.
The Vin can be found on the last, bottom line to the right. The vin is broken up in three different sections. The first section has the carline and body style, the middle section has the engine code, year and assembly plant. The last section has the sequence number.
