1974 Dodge Charger Rallye Engine Options and Specifications
In 1974 the Dodge Charger Rallye could be ordered with five different engines.
For the 1974 Charger Rallye, the 318 2 barrel engine was the standard engine. Four engine options were available including the 360 High Performance 4 barrel, the 400 4 barrel Std., the 400 4 barrel with dual exhaust and the 440 High Performance 4 barrel.

The 1974 Charger Rallye came with the following engines.

1974 Dodge Charger Rallye with a 318 2-barrel Engine
In 1974 the 318 2-barrel was the standard engine for the Charger Rallye. The engine was little changed from 1973 with similar compression and horsepower.

1974 Charger Rallye With a 360 High Performance 4-barrel
The 360 High Performance 4-barrel engine was available as an option for the 1974 Charger Rallye. This is the first time it was available for the Charger. The 360 4 barrel replaced the 340 4 barrel.
This engine came with dual exhaust.
The rated horsepower, 245 @ 4,800, was five more than the 340 from the previous year. The rated torque, 320 @ 3,600 rpm was also more than the 340 engine. The 360 shared the same camshaft as the 340 engine.
